Inside the Eco-Pak CD package
Private Label Music (PLM) is now offering an eco-friendly CD package to spas who want custom CDs to retail to guests.
Called the ‘Eco Pak’, it uses full colour cardboard where the music CD slips into a mouth for easy access. Spas taking up the package will be following in the footsteps of Starbucks, which currently sells the alternative package with artist and compilation albums in stores and online.
"The new Eco-Pak allows clients to show off their property or business in full colour while saving space and the earth with the post-consumer cardboard," said Brad Pressman, president of Los Angeles-based Private Label Music.
Both the Coeur d'Alene Casino and Spa in Idaho, and the Duniye Spa in the Maldives, have already chosen the new package.
Clients choose the music which is pre-cleared and ready for retail from PLM's 27,000-strong song library in 30 styles. The company then adds a variety of photos, logos and text to complete the CD packages.
“CDs are not dead,” said Pressman. “It's just that they are being purchased in different locations than people are used to.”
