Hippo Leisure Products has launched its new-look range of Floatables.
The free-floating non-inflatable floats are constructed using a closed cell flexible foam inside a soft outer skin. Claimed to be ideal for all ages from toddlers to teens, they are chemical resistant and made to last in the harsh environment of a swimming pool.
Floatables vary in length from one metre to four metres long and are available in the standard forms of Hippo, Snake, Crocodile, Crab, Turtle, Starfish, Fish, Lobster, Lilly Pads and Octopus. Customised items are available and costs vary according to size.
Elsewhere, Hippo is currently completing projects for the RBWM at the Windsor and Magnet Leisure Centres where it was asked to manufacture a range of custom made play products as part of refurbishment plans at the sites.
At the Windsor Leisure Centre the centrepiece is a 4.6m shark flume canopy, a 1.4m Sandcastle slide and an octopus themed column feature.
Each item has been constructed from closed cell polyethylene foam and sprayed with a polyurethane elastomer skin and all have a special paint to enable a chemical resistant finish.
Maidenhead's Magnet Centre will have a new children's slide together with an interactive rock feature. Specifically aimed at the toddler age range, the rock is both colourful and tactile and includes waterfalls, water gullies and sealife animals to encourage interactive play.
Completing the order, a themed Seahorse water squirt will spray into the children's pool.
