The recent Euroluce international lighting show in Milan saw the launch by Axelmeiselicht of a control system for its Occhio modular light system.
The Occhio concept involves pivotable lamp bodies which can be combined with a variety of changeable reflector heads. Different body lengths are available, plus plus mounting options for wall and ceiling.
Said to have taken its inspiration from the computer mouse, the control system is in the form of a sensor pad - placed in reach of the user - which can be used to control the light intensity of the Occhio range of floor, reading and table lamps.
Alternatively, a similar system is available by which the lamps can be operated by foot.
The sensor is available in polished or matt chrome to match the lamps.
Also new from the company is Occhio Sento, a lamp system which enables users to illuminate an area with both white and coloured light to either suit an environment or create a specific atmosphere.
It works by means of dichroic filters of various colours - available individually or as a set - which can be changed by hand in the same fashion as inserting or removing a CD.
As with the existing products in the Occhio range, Sento comes in a choice of either matt or polished chrome.
Another newcomer is the special edition Occhio Bianco & Nero, exchangeable base plates for the floor, reading and table lamps which are available in polished white and polished black.
Axelmeiselicht says their introduction now means that not only can the lighting effect of the lamps be changed but also the look of the lamps themselves.
